CAHS is very professional and they love their animals there. The building is clean and neat. Their website is up to date. I found my favorite handsome boy Hans on their website and decided to take him back. Unfortunately, Hans just transferred there from another organization on Wednesday. So they are not sure the characteristics of him. The good thing is that me and my boyfriend are able to play with Hans for 1 hr. No one rush us. Hans is nervous due to continuing moving but he is wild. He is definitely the handsome guy!! The people there are willing to help! They go over all documents with me, Hans is a healthy boy. They offered some coupons and list of hospitals, which is so sweet!! They told me he might hide somewhere for few days, that totally correct. Right now, Hans is much comfortable in my room, he plays around and seating in his box. I would definitely recommend everyone check their website and meet your favorite!

We adopted a senior boy in 2015 and it was an amazing experience. However, my family and I just went in last night around 6:00pm and I can't say the same. The lady at the front desk when walking in was a genuine pleasure to speak with! But when we asked to interact with a dog, it was like the other staff just didn't want to do their job. "It stresses them out" she said. Like sitting alone in a kennel is better.. She wanted us to agree to take them home before she got them out! How are we going to agree to take home an animal we haven't interacted with yet? It's a pretty essential part of the process. What if they don't like my kids? It was the last hour of the day and they would rather hang out and talk then try to adopt out the dogs I guess. Adopt don't shop, but only at our convenience..

This place was just so friendly, clean, and welcoming. There was some construction, but that did not interfere with us adopting meeting and then Harley! Every worker was super helpful and pushed us towards making a big but right decision. They had her up to date on vaccines and recently fixed. There is tons of medical papers and background help for us to make sure she has the best life. We even got to spend 15 just meeting her in a private room. I would recommend anyone stop here to volunteer, donate, or adopt. It was overall such a great place full of dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, rats, and more. Loved it!

Am really on the fence with this establishment. On one hand, I am sympathetic to the cause. An animal-lover, through and through. But have had some negative experiences here. Experiences that tell me, that some of these folks are not nearly as knowledgeable about these animals as they come off to be (rather arrogantly, too, at times). And that, essentially, they're just pushing to get these fur-babies out the door. But what good is that if both you and the animal(s) don't vibe ? So, other than the lack of knowledge and arrogant attitude shown (by some, not all), it really is a great place that stands for a great cause. Just take your time, be weary.

I want to say a huge thank you to Megan, who was so kind and understanding of my current loss during the adoption process. My best friend passed a few weeks ago, and I thought I was ready for another dog. I was wrong. Megan completely understood when I explained I was overwhelmed and was very patient with me in my decision. I cannot thank you enough for that. The staff were friendly and professional, walked you through everything, and provided many resources for the new family member you’d be taking home. Even though I took up your time, I’m grateful you understood mine. I hope I will return in the future with pure joy to foster or adopt, but I realized I needed more time to grieve. I appreciate you, Megan.

2 years ago we adopted a puppy. We named her November Storm. Storm for short. She was a the perfect pick for our family. Honestly, she picked us. She's literally our baby girl. She's a mini pit mix. She's so gentle and kind. She loves meeting new dogs but she thinks she's a human so it's hard for her figure out pup play. She had high energy. She's really a funny character.
